Akron Zoo brings wildlife exhibits and conservation education to an outdoor setting west of downtown.

Paths connect different animal habitats and family facilities, with both observation and learning central to the visit. The photograph shows a resting lion in the zoo's habitat rather than a wildlife scene from elsewhere.
Check the ticket calendar carefully: the zoo accepts only Boo at the Zoo tickets on October 17–18 and 24–25, 2026, rather than ordinary general-admission tickets. Confirm exhibit and construction notices before arriving. Allow time outdoors and follow staff guidance around animal areas.
Visitor details reviewed October 18, 2026. Check official visitor information for current access, admission, and operating arrangements. View on OpenStreetMap.
