Ballestone-Stansbury House preserves an early farmhouse near Essex and offers a glimpse of the area’s architectural and domestic history.

The property is also known as Ballestone Mansion, though that name reflects a later historical misidentification.
Public openings take place at particular times of the year rather than as unrestricted daily house access. Check the county’s current museum information and announced events before traveling for an interior visit. The photograph shows the historic house exterior. Respect closed areas and confirm tours or group arrangements separately; neighboring park access does not automatically include entry to the museum.
