Belle Isle Park occupies an island in the Detroit River, offering open landscapes and views toward Detroit and Canada.

Gardens, historic structures, and cultural attractions give the park several distinct areas, so it can support a relaxed walk or a longer outdoor day with selected indoor stops.
Plan around the particular attractions you want to enter and check their individual schedules. Vehicle entry rules differ from walking or cycling access. The Scott Fountain plaza and nearby routes are closed through 2026, with reopening expected in spring 2027, so use current park notices when planning your route.
