Buffalo Bayou Park follows Houston's waterway through a landscape of lawns, gardens, bridges, public art, and paths near downtown.

Its changing views combine the city's skyline with the bayou itself, making the park rewarding for an unhurried walk or a longer bicycle outing. The green space also reveals how closely Houston's recreation and flood landscape are connected.
Choose a trail section and an access point before setting out. Some attractions, including the underground Cistern, have separate booking arrangements, and storms or high water can affect paths and facilities.
