Cannon Branch Fort preserves Civil War earthwork remains in Manassas.

A short trail and historic markers introduce the wooded site and its relationship with the nearby railroad, which Union forces sought to protect.
Use the city’s current visitor information for the public approach at Gateway Boulevard. The photograph shows the surviving earthwork outlines rather than a reconstructed fort or standing military buildings. Remain on designated paths, avoid climbing or disturbing the earthworks and respect adjacent homes and railway property. This is an outdoor historic site, with organized interpretation separate from an independent visit.
