Carroll Park combines neighborhood green space with a playground, ball field and walking route in Oak Park.

Named for author Lewis Carroll, it surrounds a recreation center whose original design was by architect John S. Van Bergen.
The photograph shows an actual winter view of the park. Later improvements expanded green space, renovated the playground and added an energy-efficient extension to the Carroll Center. Check current park notices and sports schedules before using specific areas. Indoor preschool, after-school activities and room bookings have separate arrangements. General outdoor access does not include entry to occupied classrooms or reserved center spaces.
