Castle Air Museum preserves military aircraft and aviation artifacts on part of the former Castle Air Force Base near Atwater.
Outdoor displays bring together bombers, fighters and other aircraft, illustrating several generations of aerospace technology.
The photograph shows an actual Mark 17 display beside the museum’s preserved RB-36 aircraft. Check current admission, opening times and any restricted display areas before travelling. Allow time for the size of the outdoor collection and bring protection appropriate to the weather. Selected aircraft interiors and guided experiences require additional arrangements or admission. Group tours must be booked separately, and restoration or storage areas are not automatically included.
