Caterpillar Visitors Center

Exhibits introduce the company’s origins, historic tractors and modern equipment, with a virtual mining-truck experience that gives a sense of the scale of these working vehicles.

Interactive machine-design activities and equipment simulators make this more hands-on than a conventional company-history display. Plan around the center’s published opening days and last admission time, and check arrangements for groups. Its Washington Street address is close to the riverfront, so it fits naturally into a downtown itinerary.
