Cedarmere
- Historic estate
- Regional draw
- Roslyn Harbor
Cedarmere preserves the Roslyn Harbor estate associated with poet, editor and abolitionist William Cullen Bryant.

Its grounds connect a historic house, gardens and pond landscape with the cultural history of Long Island’s north shore.
The grounds welcome visitors, while house tours require current booking arrangements. The mill is closed for interior restoration, so plan around the public landscape and confirmed tour offerings. The photograph shows the estate house exterior rather than unrestricted interior access. Use the Friends of Cedarmere’s current tour page to arrange a visit, and respect areas occupied by working organizations.
