Cincinnati Observatory combines historic astronomical buildings with public education and telescope programs.

Its Mount Lookout campus remains a place to explore the history and practice of observing the night sky.
The larger Herget building, Clark telescope and museum rooms are closed for renovation, with full reopening targeted for summer 2027. Programs continue in the smaller Mitchel building and at off-site venues. Book a specific event or appointment and check its location. The photograph shows the historic campus before this work. Telescope viewing depends on conditions, and an advertised program should not be treated as unrestricted access to all buildings.
