Comal River

- New Braunfels
The Comal River runs through New Braunfels from its spring-fed upper reaches toward the Guadalupe River.

It is closely associated with the city's water recreation, while its origins and channels also support sensitive habitat. The photograph shows an upper-river view near Landa Park rather than an authorized tubing launch.
Use the city's current river information to choose legal entry and exit points and check flows and closures. Protected upper channels are not open for general river access. Follow current container and flotation-device rules, use appropriate safety equipment, and arrange any rental or shuttle service through an authorized operator.
