Deer Valley Petroglyph Preserve protects a significant rock-art landscape in northern Phoenix.

A short nature trail, museum, and interpretation connect the petroglyphs with Indigenous histories and the surrounding Sonoran Desert. Arizona State University manages the site, whose earlier Rock Art Center name appears in some photographs and older references.
Check the preserve's limited opening days and admission information before traveling. The trail is not ADA accessible, so review mobility needs in advance. Stay on the marked route and never touch, trace, wet, or mark petroglyphs. Bring sun protection and respect the place as a protected cultural landscape.
