East Tennessee History Center combines a regional-history museum and research resources in Knoxville's historic Old Customs House complex.

Exhibits connect individual experiences with the wider history of East Tennessee. The entrance photograph shows the historic building component, which was expanded to support its current cultural role.
Check museum hours, admission, and the current exhibition program before arriving at South Gay Street. Archives and research collections follow their own access procedures. The children's History Headquarters gallery is reserved for school groups on weekdays during the school year and opens to general visitors on weekends.
