Its mixture of woodland trails and Pacific views makes it a substantial outdoor destination rather than a single roadside overlook.

Check current road and trail alerts before travelling. At the October 2026 review, the western section of the Clatsop Loop Trail was closed because of an active landslide. Keep clear of closed routes and cliff edges. The photograph shows a coastal view from the park, not a guarantee that every approach or trail is open.
