Fort Miamis
- Historic site
- Regional draw
- Maumee
Fort Miamis preserves visible earthworks associated with a British fort in Maumee.

The site provides a landscape-based introduction to the region’s military history, distinct from the reconstructed Fort Meigs across the river.
Use current Metroparks Toledo information to locate the Michigan Street site rather than the separate Fallen Timbers battlefield entrance. The photograph shows the surviving earthwork landscape during an earlier visit, not a complete standing fort. Stay on authorized routes and respect protected archaeological ground. Check current access notices and any guided-program arrangements before making a special trip.
Visitor details reviewed October 18, 2026. Check official visitor information for current access, admission, and operating arrangements. View on OpenStreetMap.
