Fort Nonsense occupies a hilltop above Morristown associated with Revolutionary-era defensive works.

As a separate unit of Morristown National Historical Park, it offers an outdoor historical stop distinct from Washington’s Headquarters at Ford Mansion.
Use current National Park Service directions and alerts to plan access to the hill. The photograph shows an interpretive cannon and an earlier view rather than surviving original fort buildings. Follow designated paths and respect any seasonal road closures. Allow separate travel time if combining this stop with other national-park units, and confirm current conditions before setting out.
