Fort Point National Historic Site preserves a brick coastal fort beneath the southern end of the Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco.

Arched casemates, masonry courtyards and waterfront views connect military engineering with the later bridge that spans above the building.
The fort interior opens on selected days, while the outside setting has broader access. Check current National Park Service hours, roof availability and weather-related closures before traveling. Use the Long Avenue and Marine Drive approach rather than a park mailing address. Pets are restricted to outdoor areas apart from qualifying service animals.
