Fort Vancouver National Historic Site interprets overlapping histories of trade, settlement, military life, and aviation in the Pacific Northwest.

The reconstructed fort provides a particularly tangible setting for exploring these stories in Vancouver. The photograph shows its timber walls and bastion, while the wider national historic site includes additional places with separate visitor arrangements.
Check the National Park Service's current hours and alerts before visiting. Reconstructed-fort admission differs from access to other park areas, and ranger programs follow a schedule. Use the Vancouver directions for this visit; the McLoughlin House component is in Oregon City, across the wider metropolitan region.
Visitor details reviewed October 18, 2026. Check official visitor information for current access, admission, and operating arrangements. View on OpenStreetMap.
