Within Alexandria's historic Gadsby's Tavern complex, the museum interprets the social and commercial life of an early American tavern and hotel. The buildings connect Old Town's streets with the spaces where visitors once ate, gathered, and conducted business.

Use the city's museum visitor information to arrange your visit. The restaurant in the same historic complex has separate operations; a dining reservation does not provide a museum tour, and museum admission does not establish restaurant access.
