The Grand Village of the Natchez preserves an Indigenous ceremonial landscape within present-day Natchez.

Surviving earthen mounds and interpretation connect the site with Natchez communities and their history before and during contact with Europeans. It is also being developed under the name Natchez Tribal History Center.
Check Mississippi Department of Archives and History visitor information for current museum and grounds access as site improvements progress. Explore only the permitted paths and treat the mounds as cultural heritage rather than recreational climbing features. The photograph shows one mound within the larger archaeological site.
