Gumbo Limbo Nature Center introduces the coastal habitats of Boca Raton from a protected barrier-island setting.

Boardwalks and interpretive areas connect visitors with the wooded landscape and marine environment between the Atlantic coast and the Intracoastal Waterway.
Check the city’s current visitor page for access to the nature center, trails, observation areas and marine exhibits, since different parts of the complex can operate on different schedules. Plan a slower visit that leaves room for observation along the boardwalk. Groups should consult the reservation requirements before arriving, and visitors should follow posted guidance around wildlife and habitat areas.
