Hampton National Historic Site preserves an estate landscape in Baltimore County’s Hampton community near Towson.

Interpretation connects the mansion and grounds with the people whose lives and labor shaped the property, including enslaved people and later workers.
Check current National Park Service notices for building tours, grounds access and programs before arrival. Individual interiors follow different visiting arrangements from outdoor areas. The photograph shows an earlier equestrian demonstration at the site rather than an everyday activity or an event currently included with a visit.
