Heartwell Park follows a long, narrow lake through a historic residential neighborhood in Hastings.
Mature trees, small bridges and the lakeside shelter create a distinctive setting for a relaxed walk. Its compact layout makes it easy to enjoy a short waterside circuit without leaving the city.
The wading pool is seasonal and has closed for 2026. Plan around the outdoor landscape rather than expecting water play throughout the year. Follow posted park rules, keep clear of the lake edge and respect the homes surrounding the green space. Check current city notices for seasonal facilities and organized activities.
