Henderson Bird Viewing Preserve

- Henderson
Henderson Bird Viewing Preserve offers a network of ponds and walking routes used by resident and migrating birds near the city's water reclamation facilities.

The wetland setting provides a change from the surrounding desert, with opportunities to observe waterfowl and other wildlife from the paths. The photograph shows one of the preserve's ponds.
Bring water and sun protection, and leave time to walk slowly and watch. The preserve has its own opening and last-entry times, with earlier summer hours, so check the city's schedule before setting out. Pets are not allowed, and visitors should keep their distance from wildlife and avoid feeding birds.
