Horton House on Jekyll Island preserves the roofless tabby walls of an early colonial residence.

Its setting near the DuBignon cemetery connects the surviving building with several periods of plantation ownership and island history.
The photograph shows the ruin. Use designated public access and follow current island parking and site guidance. Fragile walls and archaeological remains should be viewed without climbing, touching loose material or removing objects. Allow time for historical interpretation, including the labor behind the property; nearby private or protected areas are not part of ordinary visitor access.
