Houston Zoo combines animal exhibits with conservation and educational programs in a large public visitor destination.

Its habitats and keeper activities provide different ways to explore wildlife and the work involved in caring for it.
Select a date through the current zoo calendar and check tickets, parking and any special-event arrangements. The photograph shows the actual zoo entrance in an earlier season. Evening Zoo Lights and behind-the-scenes experiences have bookings separate from ordinary admission. Animal moves and care needs can affect what is visible, so use the current map and daily schedule rather than expecting every animal or program on every visit.
