Ice Age Fossils State Park explains a prehistoric wetland landscape on the northern edge of North Las Vegas.

Visitor-center exhibits introduce the extinct animals and scientific discoveries associated with the Upper Las Vegas Wash, while outdoor interpretation connects those stories with the terrain. The photograph shows a camel exhibit in the visitor center.
The park currently carries a trail-closure notice following storm damage, so confirm available routes with park staff before planning a hike. Check operating days, entry arrangements, and conditions in the wash. Fossils and other natural or historical objects must remain undisturbed.
Visitor details reviewed October 18, 2026. Check official visitor information for current access, admission, and operating arrangements. View on OpenStreetMap.
