Interurban Railway Museum occupies Plano's former Texas Electric Railway station near Haggard Park.

The historic building and restored railcar help explain the electric interurban system that connected North Texas communities before modern highways reshaped regional travel. Its compact setting makes the museum a useful historical stop while exploring downtown Plano.
Check the current museum and railcar-tour arrangements before setting out, especially if a guided visit is important to you. Programs and story sessions have their own schedules. The historic museum is separate from the active DART station nearby, so use the museum's visitor directions.
