Lafayette History Museum interprets the community’s mining heritage and changing everyday life inside the historic Lewis House.

Its domestic setting and local collections offer a focused introduction to the people who shaped Lafayette.
The photograph shows the museum house on East Simpson Street, separate from museums in nearby Erie. Check current public opening and any guided activities before travelling. Walking tours, educational programs and research requests have their own arrangements. Allow time for the small exhibits and ask staff about a particular collection or access requirement, rather than assuming every room or archive service is available on arrival.
