A city-run center for Afro-Caribbean arts and community programming.
The Little Haiti Cultural Complex is a City of Miami arts venue on NE 59th Terrace, with a focus on Afro-Caribbean culture. Its spaces include an art gallery, a proscenium theater, studios and a courtyard used for performances and community gatherings.
Richard Allen’s Little Haiti mural is a defining feature of the courtyard. The gallery provides exhibition space, while the theater accommodates stage productions, films and talks. These are programmed venues within the complex, so the experience depends on the exhibition, class or event taking place. The city’s cultural-center pages link the program and explain the different spaces.
