Madrona Marsh Nature Preserve protects a rare remnant of Southern California’s coastal wetland landscape in Torrance.

Seasonal changes in water and vegetation make repeat walks different, while the nature center and docent programs help interpret the habitat.
The photograph shows an actual feature within the preserve. Entry is through the controlled opening opposite the nature center on Plaza del Amo, during published visitor hours. The site currently closes on Sundays and Mondays, with additional weather-related restrictions possible. Check tour availability and follow habitat rules before setting out. The nature center’s parking and displays are across the street from the preserve itself.
Visitor details reviewed October 26, 2026. Check official visitor information for current access, admission, and operating arrangements. View on OpenStreetMap.
