Marquette Park in Gary’s Miller Beach neighborhood combines Lake Michigan shoreline with dunes, lagoon views and historic park architecture.
Its varied landscape offers a destination for a beach visit or a walk through the inland recreation setting.
Use current park maps and notices to select an open route, and check swimming conditions independently of general beach access. The photograph shows the historic pavilion within the park. Pavilion interiors and rentals have separate arrangements from outdoor visiting. Respect dune vegetation and wildlife habitat, and follow posted parking and shoreline rules.
