Mary Vagle Nature Center offers a small natural retreat at the foot of the Jurupa Hills in Fontana.

A pond-side trail and native gardens encourage a closer look at the local landscape, while indoor exhibits introduce nearby wildlife and geology. The photograph shows the pond within the nature-center grounds.
Check the indoor center's operating days separately from the park's dawn-to-dusk access. Guided programs, campouts, and special activities may need advance registration. Bring water for outdoor exploration and follow marked routes, particularly if you continue from the pond area toward the surrounding hills.
