The University of Findlay’s Mazza Museum treats children’s picture-book illustration as an art form in its own right.

Original artwork offers a chance to look closely at how illustrators build characters, places and stories, making the galleries interesting for adults as well as families with young readers.
Consult the museum’s posted opening days before travelling, since public gallery hours do not cover every weekday. Family activities, talks and workshops have separate calendar listings. The photograph shows an earlier gallery installation; the specific illustrations on display can change with exhibitions and collection rotations.
