McHenry Mansion
- Historic house
- Regional draw
- Modesto
McHenry Mansion preserves a Victorian home in downtown Modesto, with architecture and furnished rooms that recall the city's nineteenth-century growth.

Built for Robert McHenry, the Italianate house offers a different historical perspective from the nearby local-history museum. Its exterior and restored interiors make the building itself the central attraction.
Check the current guided-tour days and start arrangements before arriving, since interior access follows a limited schedule. Begin with the visitor-center information and allow time for the house tour. Use the mansion's Fifteenth Street address rather than the separate McHenry Museum address on I Street.
Visitor details reviewed October 18, 2026. Check official visitor information for current access, admission, and operating arrangements. View on OpenStreetMap.
