McIntosh Sugar Mill Ruins near St. Marys preserves substantial tabby masonry from a nineteenth-century plantation sugar operation.

The remains connect a distinctive coastal building material with industrial agriculture and the labor of enslaved people.
The photograph shows the surviving ruins. Use the public historical site and trailhead access on Charlie Smith Senior Highway; nearby naval-base entrances are separate and restricted. Stay on designated routes, do not climb fragile walls or remove objects, and check current local notices for maintenance. The setting is an outdoor ruin rather than a staffed indoor museum.
