Mission Santa Clara de Asís remains a consecrated church at the center of Santa Clara University.

Its architecture and interpretation connect the present campus with the mission's earlier history, including the Indigenous people whose land and lives were profoundly affected by the mission system. The present building represents a history of rebuilding rather than an unchanged eighteenth-century structure.
Check visitor protocols, service times, and current tour arrangements before entering. Worship, weddings, funerals, and university events take priority over sightseeing. Respect quiet reflection, follow photography rules, and review parking and accessibility information if you plan a longer campus visit.
