The National Historic Trails Interpretive Center in Casper examines the overland migration routes that crossed this part of Wyoming.

Exhibits and multimedia interpretation connect difficult journeys, river crossings and the wider human history of the trails with the landscape outside.
Allow time to follow the exhibits in sequence and consider the experiences of different people affected by migration, including Indigenous communities. Check current visiting hours, programs and group arrangements before arriving. Outdoor views can add geographical context, but walking or driving a historic trail route is a separate activity that requires its own planning.
