Newburyport Harbor Light (Plum Island)

- Newburyport
Newburyport Harbor Light stands at the northern end of Plum Island, where the Merrimack River meets the Atlantic.

Often called Plum Island Light, the white tower and nearby keeper’s house form a compact maritime landmark within a coastal neighborhood.
Check the lighthouse organization’s current visiting information before expecting a tower opening or a guided tour. Ordinary coastal sightseeing does not provide unrestricted entry to the buildings. The photograph shows the tower and fenced grounds from outside; shoreline weather and nearby beach rules should guide any longer visit.
