Nichols Arboretum offers a varied landscape of hills, trees, open spaces, and paths beside the Huron River in Ann Arbor.

Its plant collections and changing seasonal character make it rewarding for a relaxed walk as well as a more deliberate botanical visit. The peony garden is a seasonal highlight, rather than a year-round floral display.
Use the current entrance and trail information to choose a route suited to your mobility and available time. The visitor center is closed for the season, while the arboretum remains an outdoor destination. Wear suitable footwear, respect planted areas, and follow posted rules around the river and natural habitats.
