North Mississippi Regional Park protects a river-side landscape in Minneapolis.

Its trails and views offer a way to experience the Mississippi corridor away from the more built-up downtown waterfront.
Use the park board’s current map and notices to choose an access point and check visitor facilities. The photograph shows a river view from the park during an earlier visit rather than present water levels or a designated swimming area. Nature-center programs and organized activities have separate arrangements. Stay on authorized paths, respect habitat and keep clear of the river edge during high water.
Visitor details reviewed October 18, 2026. Check official visitor information for current access, admission, and operating arrangements. View on OpenStreetMap.
