Norwichtown Historic District centers on the early settlement landscape of Norwich, Connecticut.

The green and surrounding houses and institutional buildings provide a different perspective from the city’s later commercial downtown.
Plan a sidewalk and public-green walk, checking current city routes and any special historical programs. The photograph shows the First Congregational Church, one part of the district. Religious buildings, homes and offices determine their own interior access. Respect residents and worshippers, and arrange any museum or guided visit separately rather than assuming the district is a single open-air museum.
