Old Salem Museums and Gardens

Old Salem interprets the Moravian community established in what is now Winston-Salem.

Old Salem Museums and Gardens

Historic streets, restored buildings, craft demonstrations, and household settings reveal how residents worked and organized their daily lives. The photograph shows Winkler Bakery, one part of a larger historic district rather than the whole museum experience.

Start with the current ticket information and the list of buildings open on your visit date. Interior access and demonstrations follow a schedule, and some areas require admission even when surrounding streets are accessible. Wear shoes suitable for walking between buildings and respect the private homes that remain within the district.
