Orenco Woods Nature Park protects wetland and woodland habitat along Rock Creek in Hillsboro.

Trails and a bridge over the creek connect visitors with a landscape that also preserves traces of the area’s orchard and residential history.
The photograph shows the bridge during an earlier visit. Dogs and bicycles are restricted to the paved Rock Creek Regional Trail rather than the park’s nature trails. Use current signs and maps to choose the appropriate route, and stay out of sensitive habitat. Historic McDonald House should not be assumed open inside. Check city notices for trail work and accessibility before planning a longer walk.
