The Original McDonald's Site and Museum occupies the San Bernardino location associated with the brothers' first restaurant.

Its memorabilia and exterior artwork explore the early fast-food business and the roadside culture surrounding Route 66. The original restaurant building is gone; this independently operated museum offers a different experience from visiting a working McDonald's restaurant.
Confirm current opening arrangements before making a special trip to North E Street. Allow time to look at the exterior displays as well as the collection inside when open. Follow the museum's photography and handling rules, since much of the interest lies in small donated objects and personal memorabilia.
