Original Wasco County Courthouse preserves a small nineteenth-century government building in The Dalles.

Its restored exterior and courtroom history provide a tangible introduction to the era when Wasco County covered a much larger territory.
Contact the operator to confirm the current museum season and any arranged visits; an older published seasonal calendar should not be treated as today’s opening schedule. Exterior viewing from public approaches can be part of a historic-district walk. The photograph shows the courthouse exterior, rather than unrestricted access to its rooms.
