Panola Mountain State Park protects a granite-outcrop landscape near Stockbridge, with surrounding trails and managed recreation facilities.

The sensitive mountain ecosystem gives the park a different character from an unrestricted rocky summit hike.
Check Georgia State Parks’ current map, parking requirements and guided-hike arrangements before arrival. Access onto the protected mountain itself is managed separately from ordinary park trails. The photograph shows an exposed rock landscape within the park rather than a route visitors may enter without following the required access rules.
