Paterson Great Falls National Historical Park connects a dramatic waterfall with the industrial history of Paterson.

The Passaic River's power helped shape the city's mills and manufacturing, while the falls remain a striking natural landmark. Overlooks and historical interpretation make it possible to explore both parts of that story.
Check current National Park Service conditions and route information before arriving, since construction can affect paths, bridges, and viewing areas. Use designated overlooks and stay behind barriers near the water. Allow time for the industrial-history interpretation as well as the waterfall, and confirm ranger-program schedules separately.
