Peebles Island State Park protects an island landscape at the meeting of the Hudson and Mohawk rivers near Waterford and Cohoes.

Trails connect river views with traces of the area’s military and industrial past.
Use current state-park maps for the authorized entrance and trail rules; bicycles are not permitted on the island trails. The photograph shows an autumn riverside view rather than a guarantee of seasonal colors or water conditions. Historic work buildings and conservation facilities have separate access and should not be treated as walk-in museums.
