Pinnacle Peak Park offers a maintained trail through Sonoran Desert terrain beneath a prominent granite peak in northern Scottsdale.

Desert plants, rock formations, and broad views make the walk rewarding without requiring a summit climb. The main trail is an out-and-back route, so the return journey needs to be part of your plan.
Check the city's current opening hours and trail notices, and start early enough to return before closing. Bring ample water and protection from the sun. Stay on the designated trail; reaching the rock summit is a separate technical climbing activity rather than part of the ordinary walking route.
